PATRICIO MARTINEZ

Hailing from Mexico City, Patricio Martínez pursued his photography education at the Escuela Activa de Fotografía and ICP New York. He further honed his skills through the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop, The Visual Storytelling Course led by Sebastián Liste, and El Ojo Crítico taught by Agnes Merat.

He independently engages in long-term projects that utilize photographic documentation as a catalyst for addressing social, identity, and environmental impacts. With over 7 years of multidisciplinary and international professional experience, he has collaborated with renowned entities such as The Washington Post on "Antimonumentos," National Geographic on "LiDAR en la zona Maya," AIRBNB Magazine covering "La Mariposa Monarca," and the Fundación Tarahumara on "Maíz y Yorique." Additionally, he has undertaken personal projects in both Mexico and the United States.

Currently, he is immersed in the development of "El último río vivo de la Ciudad de México." His work has been showcased at the Museo Archivo de la Fotografía as part of the "Identidad Latinoamérica de Cuartoscuro" exhibition in Mexico City. Furthermore, his photography has found a digital presence through platforms like Cultura Colectiva and Aristegui Noticias, featuring his work on "Incendio en Tepoztlán."
